Martorano’s Prime, located in Rivers Casino Philadelphia, marks a homecoming for the eponymous celebrity chef, Steve Martorano. DMAC reimagined the 4,900-square-foot space into an upscale Italian-American steakhouse and nightclub, embodying Martorano’s dynamic personality and South Philadelphia roots. The design blends high-energy aesthetics with sophisticated elements, transforming the venue into an immersive dining and nightlife experience.
The dramatic entry features a striking floor-to-ceiling white marble wall, showcasing the restaurant’s polished metal signature logo. The luxe marble contrasts with dark-wood slats, creating a bold facade visible from the gaming floor. Inside, the flooring transitions from custom tile in the lounge—evoking a classic era—into dark wood planks in the dining areas, adding both warmth and acoustic comfort. A 16-foot window between the main dining room and the
chef’s table enhances the dynamic guest experience, while a custom glass wine cooler separates the two dining spaces, casting natural light and creating a visually active atmosphere.
Though the layout follows a linear plan, it offers flexibility for various seating arrangements, easily accommodating private parties or late-night entertainment. For added energy, Martorano and guest DJs can host events from a dedicated DJ booth, ensuring a vibrant nightlife scene.
Adjacent to the restaurant in the casino’s marketplace, Martorano’s cafe offers a more casual experience. Anchored by a bold red brick oven and a sleek, undulating white marble countertop, the cafe serves up Martorano’s acclaimed Sicilian pizza and Italian bakery treats, bringing a Philadelphia-style taste of Italy.
