While the brand has a DNA, there is no set formula for design. Like siblings, each location has its own character, drawing upon local influences and fine tuning operational needs. This particular restaurant is about its community—where the winters are long and the hearty-minded enjoy outside dining year round. The indoor and outdoor spaces work seamlessly together, unified by intentional design details to cultivate shared connections and dialed-up hospitality.
The interior design emphasizes relaxed, upscale comfort with warm, neutral tones accented by layered ambient lighting and pops of bright colors. Facing the bar is an alcove carved out in smooth venetian plaster and nested with a banquette of booths,
softly lit for a more intimate experience. Dark upholstery contrasts with oak table tops, while fun, brand-red bar stools stand out against the black granite bar top. Bronze mirrors complement these finishes and provide a unique, less intrusive form of visibility throughout the restaurant.
A hallmark of the micro-chain’s excellence-by-design is the strategic positioning of the kitchen with a line of sight throughout the dining spaces. This 36-foot “window” has dual functionality; it visually communicates to the chef in real time the ebb and flow of seating, while simultaneously giving guests an energetic vibe from the kitchen. The clean stainless steel finishes shine as a focal point of the restaurant. Displayed above the kitchen “window” is a series of Americana-inspired art pieces that share a familiarity and contemporary twist, to welcome guests.
