Designed to elevate the sports-betting experience, the 5,500-square-foot BetRivers Sportsbook Lounge integrates seamlessly into the heart of the gaming floor at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, amplifying the energy that defines the casino environment. A bold illuminated entry and sweeping metal-mesh canopy wrapped with a live ticker-tape band announce the lounge to the gaming areas and create a dynamic architectural signature.
Beneath the canopy, leather club seating with personal charging stations offers near-360-degree views of two massive 50-by-7-foot LED screens and more than two dozen 86-inch displays, immersing guests in continuous live action. Clusters of lounge furniture create intimate group zones, while additional tables and chairs accommodate up to 195 guests. At the center, an oval-shaped bar strategically serves both the lounge and the gaming floor, reinforcing movement, connectivity, and accessibility.
Background: In 2018, DMAC initiated the development of a new sportsbook prototype for Rivers Casino’s BetRivers lounges, prioritizing sightlines, 360-degree media visibility, acoustic performance, and elevated hospitality. The design was refined and successfully implemented across multiple properties, demonstrating its adaptability and broad appeal.
Extended Reach: The concept has since been adapted for major sports arenas through partnerships with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers, evolving to suit Wells Fargo Center and PPG Paints Arena while maintaining the same energy, clarity, and guest engagement at the core of the original vision.
